Improved Solutions Portugal Unipessoal, Lda. (ISP) was founded in March 2008 with the aim to manufacture and assemble equipment for the food-processing, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and wine-making industries.
Three years later, in 2011, Improved Solutions Portugal started planning a new phase of growth, based on a structured investment in new areas of productive innovation at its facilities in Vale de Cambra, and requested financial support for investment in the field of Innovation Incentive System (SI Inovação) provided by the Operational Competitiveness Factors Programme (COMPETE), being one of the domains of intervention of National Strategic Reference Framework (QREN, "Quadro National Strategic Reference - Portugal 2007/2013").
This incentive system supports innovation in the business targeted at the production of new goods, services and processes that support their progression in the value chain and its focus on international markets, as well as encouragement to qualified entrepreneurship and investment in new areas of potential growth.
Since then many projects have been carried out. The production plant is now equipped with modern machinery and the latest technologies to meet the needs and requirements of the markets.
The plant area is about 1500 m2, it is equipped with overhead cranes for loads of up to 10 tons.
The workshop is equipped with an automated polishing robot provided with a particle suction system. Pickling and passivation line has been installed to ensure fast passivation of stainless steel.
For the manufacture of reactors, Improved Solutions Portugal has equipped the plant with a set of modern machinery: guillotine, folding machine, roll bending and high capacity hoop bending machines. Improved Solutions Portugal is also equipped with tables for longitudinal and circular welding (TIG and plasma processes).
For the production of manifolds and special pipes, Improved Solutions Portugal has equipped the plant with an orbital welding system. The workshop also has a CNC lathe for the machining of articles.
Improved Solutions Portugal has qualified welders, in 2010 they obtained the welding procedure qualification certificate and are qualified to manufacture pressure equipment in compliance with PED 97/23/CE.
In 2013, Improved Solutions Portugal implemented the quality management system based on ISO 9001 international standard and obtained the certification.
