Case studies: Specialized offshore mobile CIP

Customer Customer

The customer is a major manufacturing of hydraulic systems for petrochemical industry that do on- and offshore oil and gas production.

Project Project

They required a complex high standard mobile CIP system to clean their membrane filter installation aboard their FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage, Offloading) ship, which will be located in the Asia Pacific region.

The customer couldn’t identify any single company who were experienced in CIP as well as offshore requirements and standards, and INOXPA offered them the perfect solution.

Why INOXPA? Why INOXPA?

INOXPA studied the requirements and related these to our standard hygienic CIP cleaning equipment designs. What was presented was a true hybrid of technologies from two different industries, which was received and accepted.

INOXPA solution INOXPA solution

This system had to be fully manual with only simple “on/off” controls, all instrumentation is analogue with only very simple electrics. We had to incorporate a very unique filter cartridge, that was approved for off-shore use, along with other components not used in our usual hygienic design.

Installation characteristics Installation characteristics

We produced two skids of very similar design, constructed completely out of 316L stainless steel, they have the following characteristics:

  • Single tank of 200 litres.
  • Hyginox SEN-28 centrifugal pump.
  • Stainless steel control panel with IP65-66 protection.
  • Multi outlet.
  • Single pass.
  • Low flow design.
  • Zone 2 II 3G EX dii BT3Gc ATEX certificate.

Special features Special features

  • INOXPA's hybrid CIP system merges technologies from different industries, creating a unique solution tailored to the specific cleaning needs.
  • Built entirely from 316L stainless steel, the CIP unit ensures optimal performance in demanding offshore conditions.
  • With Zone 2 II 3G EX dii BT3Gc ATEX certification, the system is designed for explosive atmospheres, essential requirement for the industry.
  • The skids also meet rigorous safety standards for offshore use.
  • Featuring a specialized filter cartridge and low-flow design, the system maximizes filtration efficiency while minimizing operational costs and environmental impact.
