The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint for achieving a sustainable future for all and constitute a universal call to action to put an end to poverty, to protect the planet, and to improve the lives and prospects for all people around the world.
For sustainable development to be achieved, it is crucial to harmonise three core elements: economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection. These elements are interrelated and each of them plays a vital role in the well-being of individuals and society as a whole.
Prevent health problems using resources and programmes that help reduce diseases and improve people’s quality of life.
In relation to this third SDG, INOXPA has set out to champion a healthy lifestyle by implementing physical exercise programmes and promoting healthy eating.
Various activities have been carried out along these lines, including the online batch cooking course, in which a total of 55 people from all over Spain took part, and the Qigong classes held in Banyoles, which have positively impacted the health of the participants.
The company has also organised an introductory course in Nordic walking and various outings to master the technique. Some people have supported the INOXPA team in training and getting ready for Trailwalker Girona 2021 as they indirectly collaborated on SDG 6 – Clean water and sanitation.
Achieve gender equality to end all forms of discrimination, ensuring equal opportunities and equal rights.
To achieve gender equality and empower all women, INOXPA will continue to work towards equal opportunities for women and men alike within the company.
Step one was to draw up and implement a procedure for the selection and internal promotion of personnel. This system has now been extended to include all companies and people involved in these processes.
INOXPA is also updating the Equality Plan of INOXPA S.A.U. by bringing the sales offices and Valencia plant within the scope of the programme.

Improve education, awareness-raising and training for urgent action to help combat climate change and its effects.
Producing electricity from fossil fuels leads to the emission of greenhouse gases that cause climate change.
INOXPA has installed two photoelectric power generation plants at its headquarters, with a total installed capacity of 235 kWp. By consuming this electricity the company will achieve an effective reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions.
Installing solar panels generates a significant increase in the share of renewable energy within the wider energy mix, which is one of the sub-targets of SDG 7.
The goals can only be carried out with a strong commitment to partnership, cooperation and solidarity.
INOXPA relies heavily on communication in order to deliver on its commitment to the SDGs.
An information leaflet has been drawn up and published to explain what the SDGs are and to communicate our corporate commitment.
We have also published a memorandum with advice and guidance on how we can all do our bit to achieve sustainable consumption (energy and water saving) and eat healthily, meaning that the whole process starts with an individual commitment.
