Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are classed as either direct or indirect emissions.

Direct GHG emissions are emissions from sources that are owned or controlled by the company.

Indirect GHG emissions are emissions that are a consequence of the company’s activities, but occur at sources owned or controlled by another company.

3 scopes have been defined to account for and report emission sources.

Scope 1: These are direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by INOXPA, such as natural gas consumption, fossil fuel consumption for vehicles, and refrigerant gas leaks.

Scope 2: These are emissions caused by generating the electricity purchased and consumed by INOXPA. Scope 2 emissions occur at the physical location where the electricity is generated (the power plant).

Scope 3: Scope 3 includes all other indirect emissions. INOXPA accounts for and reports the emissions derived from transporting goods purchased from a manufacturing company to suppliers on other continents. Emissions from persons travelling by air and train are also accounted for and reported.

The emissions accounted for and reported by INOXPA are from the following 3 manufacturing companies: INOXPA SAU, Inoxpa India PVT.LTD. and Improved Solutions Portugal.
