Sustainable craft microbrewery

Customer Customer

Founded in 2012, FarmHouse Brewery Luppolajo is an Italian farm and microbrewery that draws on more than a hundred years of experience of the family company, Azienda Agricola Treccani.

They produce craft beer using only malt grown in their own fields, and they adopt sustainable practices, such as using a photovoltaic system to meet all the energy needs for the plant.

Project Project

The brewery needed to develop from a manually operated 600 litre installation into a semi-automatic installation four times bigger, with three main objectives:

  • To increase production capacity to meet the growth in demand.
  • To improve the economic and energy efficiency, reducing costs and consumption.
  • To comply with automation and repeatability standards, with remote management in accordance with the Industry 4.0 standard.

The project was also conceived as a pilot case in Italy, within the framework of the new Industry 5.0 regulations, obtaining an energy efficiency certification exceeding 15%, which made it eligible for significant tax benefits.
