Customer Customer

A leading company with over 40-years experience and pioneering, patented and sustainable techniques, the customer produces plant extracts for the cosmetics industry.

They use botanical ingredients from all over the world to develop products that improve natural solutions and replace synthetic ingredients in cosmetic formulas.

Project Project

The customer needed to expand their production capacity with a new mixing station for developing cosmetic formulations based on vegetable glycerine to meet higher demand.

The solution had to include tanks with agitation and heating, maintaining strict quality standards and providing efficient mixing and thermal treatment in line with the industry requirements.

Installation characteristics Installation characteristics

INOXPA developed a mixing station comprised of:

  • Two x 2000 litre atmospheric tanks: Each fitted with an NHS agitator with a 4-blade propeller, designed to handle large flows and ensure consistent product mixing. These tanks include weighing systems with load cells for precise ingredient measurement in each recipe.
  • In-line heating system: A tubular exchanger heats the formula prior to the filtration stage, ensuring a constant temperature of 20 to 80 °C, safe for glycerine processing and to prevent product degradation.
  • Full automation with CIP: The production line was designed to include a fully automatic CIP system, ensuring hygiene and quality standards are maintained without requiring manual intervention.

Special features Special features

The implementation of INOXPA’s mixing station provides multiple advantages for the customer:

  • Higher production capacity: The new mixing system and the 2000 litre tanks can meet the higher demand for glycerine-based formulations.
  • Product consistency and quality: The precise weighing system and ability to control temperature ensures consistent and high quality production.
  • Better cleaning and maintenance: Including the CIP system enables efficient cleaning and reduces down times, maximising productivity.
  • Energy efficiency and automated control: Automation facilitates continuous production and process control, making the most of resources, and ensuring safety and quality throughout every phase.
