Automatic CIP for UHT cleaning

Customer Customer

The customer produces and markets dairy products and is strongly committed to quality and food safety.

Since the customer's plant processes large volumes of milk and derivatives, high hygiene standards must be upheld at every single stage of the process.

Project Project

The customer faced the challenge of ensuring effective cleaning in critical equipment such as the 20 000-litre aseptic tank, two fillers (for 200 ml and 1 litre formulations) and the aseptic lines connected to the UHT machine.

The customer was looking for an automated solution to allow the control of the speed, temperature and chemical concentration, reducing the need for human intervention and the risk of operating errors.

"To ensure the cleaning of tanks and fillers, we need reliable systems, and thanks to INOXPA, we achieved safe and automated cleaning."

"To ensure the cleaning of tanks and fillers, we need reliable systems, and thanks to INOXPA, we achieved safe and automated cleaning."

Why INOXPA? Why INOXPA?

The decision to choose INOXPA was based on several key factors. Our consolidated experience in the dairy industry and recognition as leaders in hygienic solutions inspired the customer's confidence.

INOXPA proposed a solution that met all the technical requirements: full automation with PLC and HMI, advanced instrumentation to ensure the control of critical variables, and a design tailored to the dimensions and characteristics of the plant.

The ability of our company to offer a comprehensive service - from project engineering and installation to commissioning and personnel training - was crucial when it came to the customer's decision to choose our solution.

The project consisted of supplying and installing an automatic CIP system for cleaning UHT lines and aseptic equipment. This system was designed to work with a flow of 18 m³/h at 6 bar, ensuring the minimum speed required in the pipes.

Installation characteristics Installation characteristics

The CIP unit includes the following:

  • Four tanks (soda, acid, recovered water and mains water)
  • PROLAC HCP centrifugal pumps, made from AISI 316 stainless steel
  • A complete instrumentation system with conductivity transmitters, flow meters and temperature sensors

Heating is performed using a plate exchanger, which ensures the perfect temperature for each phase.

The automation is controlled using a PLC and 12" HMI display, allowing the process to be monitored, alarms to be managed and the traceability of cleaning to be guaranteed.

The entire design meets the highest hygiene standards, using AISI 304/316L materials and sanitary finishes.

Special features Special features

The solution implemented by INOXPA has numerous benefits for the customer:

  • The full automation of the CIP process significantly reduces the need for human intervention, minimising the risk of errors and improving food safety.
  • The precise control of parameters such as the temperature, chemical concentration and flow rate ensures cleaning results that comply with international regulations.
  • The hygienic design and quality of the materials extend the service life of the system and simplify maintenance.
  • The flexibility of the system allows it to adapt to different volumes and configurations, optimising the consumption of water and chemical products, which increases operational efficiency and reduces costs.
  • Comprehensive support from INOXPA - from the installation of the system to the training of personnel - ensures a fast start-up and reliable operation right from day one.
