We inform you that the third stage of Regulation (EC) nº 640/2009 with regard to ecodesign requirements for electric motors comes into effect in 2017.
It means that all motors with the CE marking with a rated output of 0,75 – 375 kW purchased for installation and use within the European Union must meet the IE3 efficiency level or meet the IE2 efficiency level if fitted with a variable speed drive.
The Regulation is applicable to electric single speed, three-phase 50 Hz motors that have 2 to 6 poles, a voltage of UN up to 1000 V, and are designed for continuous duty operation (S1).
